October brings the highly-anticipated returns of two fan favorite shows, as well as UK program premieres in the US that are sure to please more than a few viewers.

Julian Fellowes has adapted Doctor Thorne, one of his favorite novels, for the small screen, and ITV has just announced the cast for the miniseries.

In a deal with all3media International, Starz will have exclusive US premium rights to Stephen Poliakoff’s Close to the Enemy and co-produce the new thriller miniseries.

He’s fully clad in the photo, but no matter, as filming has started on Series 2 of Poldark with star Aidan Turner, who’s joined by new cast members, including John Nettles.
