Welcome to August and the dog days of summer, the perfect time to chill out with the AC set to high and the telly tuned to new and returning Brit TV shows.
It’s a sad day in Brit TV land, as ITV has announced that the current series of Lewis, known as Inspector Lewis in the US, is the last.
Hump days don’t get any better than this! ITV has commissioned a ninth series of Inspector Lewis. Need I say more?
Following up on Part 1 about our favorite 2014 Brit TV debuts, we look today at the programs that returned to this side of the pond with their second, third, etc. seasons.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but PBS is the place for stateside Brit TV fans to be on Sunday nights this autumn, because Masterpiece is bringing some of our favorite Brit TV characters back to US
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: Wishes do come true! In this case, the wish that there be another series of the hit mystery program, Inspector Lewis, which ITV has commissioned. Hooray!

Downton Abbey: Season 3 Premieres In the U.S. In January 2013! Woo hoo! The dates for Season 3 of Downton Abbey have been announced! The show premieres on PBS on January 6 and airs each Sunday through February 17.
