The eagerly-awaited debut of the crime-thriller, Fortitude, is happening in a few weeks. With the temperatures plunging to freezing and sub-zero in many places, the timing for this crime drama set in the Arctic couldn’t be more spot on.

There are period dramas aplenty to look forward to this year, one of which is the highly-anticipated new adaptation of Poldark. The original is 40 years old now, but it is still one of the best and most successful British

Hmm, given the trailers for the new season of Death in Paradise and the new serial Wolf Hall, it looks like there’s a whole lotta drama going on. (And a few laughs, too.)

American remakes of hit British TV shows happen regularly, despite the fact that the ratings successes, such as The Office and House of Cards, are highly outnumbered by the ratings failures. But they continue, and six more are on the way.
