A new year of British TV is off to a fabulous start in the US, so let’s look at what’s coming up for the rest of 2015, starting with the programs premiering in January.

The eagerly-awaited debut of the crime-thriller, Fortitude, is happening in a few weeks. With the temperatures plunging to freezing and sub-zero in many places, the timing for this crime drama set in the Arctic couldn’t be more spot on.

Hmm, given the trailers for the new season of Death in Paradise and the new serial Wolf Hall, it looks like there’s a whole lotta drama going on. (And a few laughs, too.)

American remakes of hit British TV shows happen regularly, despite the fact that the ratings successes, such as The Office and House of Cards, are highly outnumbered by the ratings failures. But they continue, and six more are on the way.

In this final part of our year-end series, we look at our favorites amongst the shows that debuted in the UK over this past year, programs we hope will one day screen in the US.
