Love Island: Season 13 (UK)

Alice and Steve (UK-US)

Nicola Walker (The Split, Unforgotten, Annika) stars in this comedy-drama as Alice, who loses her best friend and daughter in one fell swoop after 50-something Steve (Jermaine Clement, What We Do in the Shadows, Divorce) begins dating 26-year-old Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith, A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, The Tattooist of Auschwitz). Devastated and angry, Alice decides to use whatever tools she has at her disposal to end the relationship, from threats and begging to sabotaging his career.

Unfortunately for her, Steve’s more than ready for the attack, and what begins as a perfect friendship devolves into an all-out feud. Eventually, Alice’s husband, Daniel (Joel Fry, Our Flag Means Death, Bank of Dave), loses his patience, as this whole thing has brought out a side of Alice that scares him. Meanwhile, Steve knows that Izzy is the best thing to ever happen to him and wants to make a go of it, but Alice isn’t going down without a fight.

Beyond Paradise: Season 4 (UK)

In the new season of this hit Death in Paradise spin-off, DI Humphrey Goodman (Kris Marshall, Sanditon, My Family) and the Shipton Abbott police team face a fresh wave of mind-boggling crimes. Fact and folklore blur when a witness claims a mermaid wrecked a local seaweed farm, while a missing treasure map sparks a hunt for deeply-buried truths. Filmed across six years and with full access to the police investigation, the program shadows real cold case detectives as they attempt to unravel the mystery surrounding Carol’s death. The Listeners (UK)

Adapted from Jordan Tannahill’s best-selling eponymous novel, this suspense drama stars Rebecca Hall (The Beauty, The Studio) as Claire Kutty, a popular English teacher who suddenly begins to hear a low, persistent humming sound that no one else around her can hear. This seemingly innocuous noise gradually upsets the balance of her life, triggering migraines, nosebleeds, and insomnia, and fracturing her relationships with husband Paul (Prasanna Puwanarajah, The Crown, Payback) and daughter Ashley (Mia Tharia, Phoenix Rise), as well as with friends and colleagues. But despite seeing multiple doctors, no obvious source or medical cause can be found.

When Claire discovers that her student, Kyle (Ollie West, The Sparrow), can also hear the sound, the two strike up an unlikely and intimate friendship. The Capture: Season 3 (UK)
