Absolutely Ascot: Seasons 1-2 premieres in the US on Tuesday, March 9, on Hulu.
Dress to Impress: Seasons 1-2 (UK)
Here’s a dating show with a twist: In order to win a blind date with a style-conscious singleton, three fashion-savvy competitors take part in a shopping showdown in which they must dress them (the date) to impress them. Dress to Impress: Seasons 1-2 premieres in the US on Tuesday, March 9, on Hulu.
The One (UK)
Based on John Marrs‘s novel of the same name, this sci-fi drama is set 5 minutes in the future, in a world where a DNA test can find the one person you are genetically predisposed to fall passionately in love with. Bloodlands (UK/NI)
Set in Northern Ireland, this crime thriller stars James Nesbitt (Cold Feet) as DCI Tom Brannick, a veteran detective who connects a present-day suicide note to an infamous cold case from 20 years ago, and then embarks on an obsessive campaign to identify the legendary assassin behind these events. Bloodlands, an Acorn TV Original, premieres in the US and Canada with its first episode (of four) on Monday, March 15, exclusively on Acorn TV. New episodes will debut weekly through April 5.
Bulletproof: South Africa (UK)
Noel Clarke (Doctor Who) and Ashley Walters (Top Boy) return as Aaron Bishop and Ronnie Pike in this buddy cop drama’s three-part special, which takes them from London to Cape Town, where their holiday turns into a race against the clock to find a kidnapped young girl. Bulletproof: South Africa premieres in the US on Monday, March 15, at 8 PM ET, on The CW.
Doctor Who: Fury from The Deep (UK)
This animated version of the 1968 classic sees The Doctor (Patrick Troughton) and companions Jamie (Frazer Hines) and Victoria (Deborah Watling) taken prisoner at a gas refinery, which has unexplained problems with the feed pipes. The cause: a parasitic form of seaweed, capable of controlling of the minds of those it touches. Doctor Who: Fury from The Deep premieres in the US on Monday, March 15, on AMC+. The linear TV debut happens Sunday, March 21, starting at 6 PM ET, on BBC America, where all six half-hour episodes will be shown back to back.
The Lost Pirate Kingdom (US-UK)
This docudrama series, which features interviews with historians and other experts as well as dramatizations, tells the story of the real-life pirates of the Caribbean, who violently plundered the world’s riches and formed a surprisingly egalitarian republic. Zero Chill (UK)
This family-friendly, teen-oriented drama series centers on talented figure skater Kayla (Grace Beedie, Five Star Christmas), who is forced to leave everything behind when her parents decide to move the family to England after her twin brother, Mac (Dakota Taylor, Homekilling Queen), gets a scholarship to a prestigious hockey academy. Staged: Season 2 (UK)
David Tennant (Broadchurch) and Michael Sheen (Masters of Sex) are back as themselves — two bickering actors making a drama out of a crisis — in this comedy-drama’s new season. Can their fragile egos survive working from home and virtual Hollywood? Guest stars include Whoopi Goldberg, Ben Schwartz, Jim Parsons, Simon Pegg, Cate Blanchett, Nick Frost, Josh Gad, Christoph Waltz, Ken Jeong, Ewan McGregor, and Phoebe Waller-Bridge. Back: Season 2 (UK)
David Mitchell (Upstart Crow) and Robert Webb (Frayed) return as foster brothers Stephen and Andrew in this comedy’s new season. Stephen is back at his pub, The John Barleycorn, which Andrew has been keeping going, but the opening of a spectacular rival pub threatens its, and their, future. Back: Season 2 premieres in the US on Thursday, March 18, exclusively on Sundance Now and AMC+. The linear TV debut happens Wednesday, March 31, at midnight ET, on IFC.
Slaxx (Canada)
In this comedy-horror film, a possessed pair of jeans is brought to life to punish the unscrupulous practices of a trendy clothing company. Shipped to the company’s flagship store, Slaxx proceeds to wreak carnage on the staff who are locked in overnight to set up the new collection. Slaxx, a Shudder Original Film, premieres in the US on Thursday, March 18, on Shudder.
Formula 1: Drive to Survive: Season 3 (UK)
The new season of this sports documentary series follows Lewis Hamilton, Daniel Ricciardo, and other top drivers from ten Formula 1 teams as they continue to battle it out for the checkered flag during the shortened 2020 season, one of the most challenging years for the sport. Formula 1: Drive to Survive: Season 3, a Netflix Original, premieres globally on Friday, March 19, exclusively on Netflix.
Breeders: Season 2 (UK)
Martin Freeman (The Hobbit) and Daisy Haggard (Back to Life) are back as married couple Paul and Ally in the new season of this comedy, which explores the parental paradox that you would happily die for your children, but quite often also want to kill them. Breeders: Season 2 premieres in the US on Monday, March 22, on FX, with streaming available on FX on Hulu starting March 23.
Secrets of a Psychopath (Ireland)
This true-crime docuseries recounts the facts behind the most complex murder to be tried in court in Irish criminal history. Narrated through the first-hand accounts of experts, observers, and journalists, the three-parter explores the many coincidences, twists, and turns of the investigation, uncovering an obsessive and unconventional relationship that ultimately ended in tragedy. An official selection at the Toronto International, Sundance, and SXSW Film Festivals, this horror film follows Miriam (co-writer and co-director Madeleine Sims-Fewer, The Substitute), a woman on the edge of divorce who seeks comfort from her sister and brother-in-law. Escape to the Country: Season 28 (UK)
A new season of this popular lifestyle program finds experts and realtors helping people to achieve the dream of living in the British countryside by finding suitable properties and guiding prospective buyers through every aspect of buying, selling, and moving. The Irregulars (UK)

Breathless
Secrets and lies, ambition and deception, and sex and sexism run rampant through this drama set in 1961, which follows the professional and personal lives of certain staff members of a hospital, who perform illegal abortions. It stars Jack Davenport (Coupling), Natasha Little (Case Histories), Shaun Dingwall (Above Suspicion), and Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey). Breathless began streaming as a no-additional charge title for Amazon Prime members on Prime Video on February 26, and will stay up as such through the end of March.
Civilizations
Inspired by Civilisation, Kenneth Clark’s landmark 1969 series about Western art, this docuseries tells the story of art from the dawn of human history to the present day on a global scale. It broadens the canvas to reveal the role that art and the creative imagination have played across multiple cultures and civilizations. Civilizations began streaming as no-additional charge title for Amazon Prime members on Prime Video on February 26, and will stay up as such through the end of March.
London Kills: Season 1
Set in London, this police procedural centers on an elite murder investigation squad. While each episode features a standalone crime story, the series’ arc concerns the unsolved disappearance of the lead detective’s wife. Starring Hugo Speer (Marcella), Sharon Small (The Bay), Bailey Patrick (The Nest), and Tori Allen-Martin (Unforgotten), London Kills: Season 1 began streaming as a no-additional charge title for Amazon Prime members on Prime Video on February 27, and will stay up as such through the end of March.
