Baghead (UK)
This horror film follows Iris (Freya Allan, The Witcher, The Third Day), a young woman who travels to Berlin to identify the body of her estranged father (Peter Mullan, Mum), who had bequeathed to her a run-down, centuries-old pub. This was a surprise, and there is more to come. After discussing the estate with the solicitor (Ned Dennehy, Peaky Blinders) and signing the deed, Iris becomes inextricably tied to an unspeakable entity that resides in the pub’s basement: Baghead, a shape-shifting creature that can transform into the dead.
Capitalizing on her very strange inheritance, the skint Iris, like her late father, sets out to exploit the creature’s powers and help desperate people, as well as herself, for a price. Two thousand in cash for two minutes with Baghead (Anne Müller, Babylon Berlin) is all it takes for desperate loved ones to ease their grief (and line Iris’s pockets). Iris’s first customer is widower Neil (Jeremy Irvine, Dalgliesh), but she soon discovers that breaking the two-minute rule can have terrifying consequences. Together with her best friend, Katie (Ruby Barker, Bridgerton), Iris must battle to keep control of Baghead and figure out how to destroy the creature before it destroys them.

Mary & George (UK)
Based on the book The King’s Assassin: The Secret Plot to Murder King James I by Benjamin Woolley, this historical drama series is inspired by the unbelievable true story of Mary Villiers (Julianne Moore, Still Alice, The Hours), who molded her beautiful and charismatic son, George (Nicholas Galitzine, Red, White & Royal Blue, Chambers), to seduce King James I (Tony Curran, Mayflies) and become his all-powerful lover.
Through outrageous scheming, the pair rose from humble beginnings to become the richest, most titled and influential players the English court had ever seen, as well as the King’s most trusted advisors. And with England’s place on the world stage under threat from outside forces, and rioters taking to the streets to denounce the King, the stakes could not have been higher.

Mr Bates vs The Post Office (UK)
Starring Toby Jones (The Long Shadow, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), this gripping, four-part historical drama limited series centers on the real-life British Post Office scandal — one of the greatest miscarriages of justice in British legal history. It was created with direct input from the innocent people who got caught up in it.
When money started to seemingly disappear from local post office branches, the government-owned Post Office wrongly blamed their own managers for the apparent losses. For more than a decade, hundreds of them were accused of theft and fraud, and many were even sent to prison — leaving lives, marriages, and reputations in ruins. But the issue was actually caused by errors in the Post Office’s own computer system, something the organization denied for years.
Revealing a shocking David vs. Goliath fight for justice, Mr Bates vs The Post Office is the story of the decent, ordinary people who were relentlessly pursued, coerced, and controlled by a powerful corporation, and their ongoing battle — against seemingly insurmountable odds — to right so many horrific wrongs.
The cast includes Monica Dolan (The Thief, His Wife and The Canoe), Julie Hesmondhalgh (The Trouble With Maggie Cole), Alex Jennings (The Crown), Ian Hart (The Responder), Lia Williams (The Capture), Will Mellor (No Offence), Clare Calbraith (Home Fires), Shaun Dooley (Gentleman Jack), Amit Shah (Happy Valley), Lesley Nicol (Downton Abbey), Adam James (Vigil), and Katherine Kelly (Criminal: UK).
Mr Bates vs The Post Office premieres in the US on Sunday, April 7, at 9pm ET, on PBS (check your local listings), with streaming available on PBS.org, the PBS App, and the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel.
