Netflix announced today The Seven Dials Mystery, a new series adaptation of Agatha Christie’s eponymous novel, to be written by Chris Chibnall.
The Seven Dials Mystery is the first series to go into production in the deal between Netflix and Orchard Pictures, the production company set up by Suzanne Mackie (The Crown, Behind Her Eyes). It will be written by Chris Chibnall (Broadchurch, Doctor Who) and directed by Chris Sweeney (The Tourist, Back to Life).
Executive producing the series are Suzanne Mackie and Chris Sussman (Good Omens), as well as Chris Chibnall through his company, Imaginary Friends, and James Prichard of Agatha Christie Limited.
In the novel The Seven Dials Mystery, part of Agatha Christie’s “Superintendent Battle” series of whodunits, a practical joke at a stately home goes horribly wrong, leaving one man dead. He won’t be the only victim…
