NATIONAL PREMIERES

Attack on London: Hunting The 7/7 Bombers (UK)

This docuseries is the story of one of the most devastating terror attacks on British soil and the ensuing three weeks of panic, paranoia, and manhunts that changed Britain forever — told by those who lived it. On July 7, 2005, four British men detonated suicide bombs on the London transport system, killing 52 and injuring over 700. Two weeks later, a failed second attack triggered Britain’s biggest-ever manhunt and led to the fatal police shooting of an innocent man. As the country struggled to make sense of these shocking events, the authorities raced against the clock to stop further attacks.

Through exclusive interviews, previously unseen archival materials, and powerful first-person accounts — including of survivors, victim’s families, people who knew the bombers, police investigators, the lead explosives expert, the Prime Minister, the head of MI5, the family of Jean Charles de Menezes, key firearms officers, citizen heroes, and journalists and campaigners trying to uncover the truth behind those frenzied weeks — this gripping, immersive series puts us back inside the events, minute by minute, tracing the shock waves of the attacks and the hunt to find those responsible.

Attack on London: Hunting The 7/7 Bombers, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Tuesday, July 1, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)

Renaissance: The Blood and the Beauty (UK)

This docudrama series explores the extraordinary lives and intense rivalries of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Raphael — three towering figures of the Italian Renaissance whose timeless masterpieces were forged amid brutal political power struggles, violent warfare, and religious upheaval during one of the bloodiest periods in history.

Narrated by Oscar® nominee Sophie Okonedo (Hotel Rwanda), the three-part series features Charles Dance (Game of Thrones, The Day of the Jackal) as Michelangelo, Jonny Glynn (Royal Shakespeare Company: The Two Gentlemen of Verona, Henry IV: Parts I and II) as Leonardo Da Vinci, and Joshua Duffy (Doctor Who: The Cravat Doctor Adventures, Glimpses of Gallifrey) as Raphael.

Framed through the eyes of an aging Michelangelo, the series traces more than sixty years, beginning with the Pazzi Conspiracy of 1478 (in which members of the Pazzi family and others attempted to displace the Medici family as rulers of Florence) and concluding with the unveiling of Michelangelo’s The Last Judgement in the Sistine Chapel in 1541. Through stunning visuals, compelling storytelling, and historical insight, the series reveals how these artists battled for favor, risked everything in service of their patrons, and reshaped the world’s understanding of art and the artist.

Abby decides to give Ben a second chance, but it only leads to more disappointment. Later, sparks fly when she meets someone new and unexpected, but is she ready to date again? Professionally, Abby’s concerns about a major development at the firm are ignored, forcing her to make a decision that sends shock waves through the office and her family. Meanwhile, Harry and his ex/Abby’s mother, Joanne (Lauren Holly, Picket Fences), manage their breakup poorly, until they both have experiences that make them reevaluate what truly matters. At work, Harry’s plan for a lucrative merger with a rival law office looks like a sure thing, until it forces him to make an impossible choice.

But wait, there’s more! Abby’s half-brother, Daniel (Zach Smadu, Cardinal), mourns the end of his relationship with Martina (Miranda Edwards, Snowpiercer) by having a one-night stand with the offbeat Jude (Mapuana Makia, Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.), and his life is turned upside down when Jude shares life-changing news with him. When George Mottershead (Lee Ingleby, Crossfire, Serpent Queen), an ex-serviceman still struggling to come to terms with the effects of the Great War, finds a monkey locked up in a quarantine cage, it sparks an idea that becomes a life-long mission. He dreams of building Britain’s first zoo without bars. Soon, he starts buying up unwanted animals. In the series are forensics experts, from crime scene coordinators to blood pattern analysts and footwear specialists, whose jobs are to help piece together what happened and find out who is responsible for the crime. Working with the time-pressures of the “forensic window” and the ever-evolving nature of crime always against them, these specialists are all too aware that their findings can make the difference between an innocent person being locked up or a guilty party walking free.

Forensics: The Real CSI: Season 2 begins streaming in the US and Canada as an 8-episode binge on Friday, July 11.

His only allies are the neighboring Carmichael girls, Kit (Jessica Barden, The End of the F***ing World) and Tamsin (Daisy Bevan, Too Much, The Alienist), who have problems enough of their own, courtesy of their bullying father, a supposed pillar of the community who hides his true tendencies. But while they manage to negotiate their difficult family life successfully, Lewis is still troubled and neglected until his suppressed rage boils over into an explosive act of defiance. Pushed to the fringes of society, Lewis seems to be completely abandoned, but for the one girl whose love might yet save him.
