Multiple award winner The IT Crowd has gotten a new, albeit brief, lease on life, as Channel 4 has commissioned a one-off special of this cult comedy.

The IT Crowd ended its four-series run in 2010, and geek and non-geek fans alike have been wanting a reboot of the hit comedy ever since. Well, it’s coming later this year to Channel 4 in the UK, and hopefully soon thereafter to the U.S. Production on the 45-minute special begins in June.

The one-off episode reunites series stars Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids), Richard Ayoade (The Mighty Boosh), Katherine Parkinson (Doc Martin), and Matt Berry (Snow White and the Huntsman) to give closure to their respective characters: the hapless and allergic-to-work Roy, his socially-maladroit yet highly-intelligent geek coworker Moss, their technically-challenged and falsehood-telling boss Jen, and the arrogant and womanizing head of Reynholm Industries Douglas Reynholm.

Stay tuned for more details as they become available.
