Acorn TV has set the US premiere date for Season 2 of the Joanna Scanlan-Bradley Walsh period comedy-drama series The Larkins. Check out the official trailer.
Joanna Scanlan (The Light in the Hall, No Offence) and Bradley Walsh (Doctor Who, Law & Order: UK) will be back on our screens this spring, when their series The Larkins returns to the US with its second season.
Adapted from H.E. Bates‘s classic novel The Darling Buds of May, the series follows the warm-hearted, wheeler-dealer adventures of the iconic Larkin family in the idyllic Kent countryside of the late 1950s.
The new season finds the Larkins getting some dubious new neighbors in the Jerebohm family, Ma playing Cupid between her daughter Primrose (Lydia Page, The Worst Witch) and Rev Candy, and a trap set for Pop landing him in trouble with the law. And there’s more besides!
Joining the season 2 cast are Julian Rhind-Tutt (Britannia) as Mr. Jerebohm, Morgana Robinson (Stuck) as Pinkie Jerebohm, and Maxim Ays (Sanditon) as Rev. Candy, amongst others.
The Larkins: Season 2, an Acorn TV Original, premieres in the US on Monday, March 20, exclusively on Acorn TV.
