NATIONAL PREMIERES

Curfew (UK)

Sarah Parish (Bancroft, Stay Close, Industry) stars in this award-winning thriller adapted from Jayne Cowie’s international best-selling novel of the same name. Set in the near future, the series finds Britain a dystopian place, especially for males. Measures have been put in place that track their movements 24/7 and curtail their movements from 7pm to 7am by way of a nightly curfew, all in the name of protecting woman, formalized under the Women’s Safety Act. That’s all well and good until it isn’t: A woman is brutally murdered during curfew hours.

Dead certain that the killer is a man is veteran Detective Inspector Pamela Green (Parish), who, along with her new police partner, Eddie (Mitchell Robertson, Half Man, Magpie Murders), investigates this seemingly-impossible crime. Her superiors and the British public, and even Eddie, think she’s wrong; they say that, between the electronic monitoring and the curfew, the culprit couldn’t have been a man. Pamela may seem a bit biased in her insistence that “only a man could’ve done that” and “a woman wouldn’t do that,” but could a man have broken curfew and gone about committing the murder without the monitor sounding the alarm? It’s her job to find out.

The cast of the six-episode thriller also includes Mandip Gill (Doctor Who), Alexandra Burke (Pretty Red Dress), Tommy McDonnell (The Capture), Lucy Benjamin (EastEnders), Anita Dobson (EastEnders), Adam Korson (SurrealEstate), and Larry Lamb (Gavin & Stacey), amongst others.

Curfew premieres in the US on Tuesday, November 3, exclusively on MHz Choice (add it to your watchlist here) and its digital channels, including MHz Choice on Prime Video (add it to your watchlist here).
