Independent distributor all3media international has signed a multi-territory deal with Acorn TV for the new British thriller drama The Nest.

Having recently completed its run on BBC One, where it ranks as one of the channel’s top 10 programs of the year, The Nest is set to makes its debut on Acorn TV in the Americas this summer, thanks to a deal with all3media international.

The five-part thriller stars Martin Compston (Line of Duty, In Plain Sight), Sophie Rundle (Peaky Blinders, Gentleman Jack), and Mirren Mack (Sex Education).

Set in Scotland, The Nest centers on Dan (Compston) and Emily (Rundle), a wealthy couple who are crazy about each other, live in a huge house in a beautiful location just outside Glasgow, and want for nothing — except a child, which they have been trying for for years.

Through a chance encounter they meet Kaya (Mack), an 18-year-old from the other side of the city, whose life is as precarious as the couple’s is comfortable. When Kaya agrees to be a surrogate and carry their baby, it feels like this was meant to be. But was their meeting really by chance?

Produced by Studio Lambert and written by Nicole Taylor (Three Girls), the miniseries costars Fiona Bell (Blood), James Harkness (The English Game), David Hayman (Hatton Garden), Shirley Henderson (Happy Valley), Katie Leung (White Dragon), and Bailey Patrick (London Kills).

The Nest premieres in the US, Canada, and Latin America* starting Monday, July 13, exclusively on Acorn TV.
