Netflix will debut Season 3 of its Global Original series The Crown on November 17, 2019, in all of its territories.
Season 3 of The Crown stars Oscar® winner Olivia Colman (The Favourite, Broadchurch, The Night Manager), who takes over the role of Queen Elizabeth II from Claire Foy.
Golden Globe® nominee Tobias Menzies (Outlander, The Terror) takes over for Matt Smith as Prince Philip, and two-time Oscar® nominee Helena Bonham Carter (The King’s Speech, The Wings of the Dove) and Ben Daniels (The Paradise, Law & Order: UK) pick up where Vanessa Kirby and Matthew Goode left off as Princess Margaret and her husband, Antony Armstrong-Jones.
Other members of the brand new cast include Josh O’Connor (The Durrells in Corfu) as Prince Charles, Emerald Fennell (Call the Midwife) as Camilla Parker Bowles, Erin Doherty (Les Misérables) as Princess Anne, Marion Bailey (Allied) as The Queen Mother, and BAFTA winner Jason Watkins (The Lost Honour of Christopher Jefferies) as Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
The new season covers the period from 1964 through the early 1970s, including events such as England winning the World Cup in 1966, the Apollo 11 Moon landing in 1969, and the investiture of Prince Charles, also in 1969.
