Big Mood follows Maggie (Nicola Coughlan, Bridgerton, Derry Girls) and Eddie (Lydia West, It’s A Sin, Inside Man), who’ve been best friends for ten years of thick, thin, and multiple eyebrow trends. But with the rest of their lives looming, careers hanging in the balance, and Maggie’s bipolar disorder making an unwelcome return to form, Eddie begins to question whether this friendship is really in their best interests.

It’s a pivotal point in both of their lives, bringing to the surface those all-important questions: Could sleeping with your former history teacher be the key to happiness? Is a basement rat hotel a functional alternative to pest control? How do you stop your new psychiatrist giving you worry dolls? With their twenties behind them, Maggie and Eddie’s relationship faces the future… but can it survive?

The ensemble cast includes Niamh Cusack (The Virtues), Eamon Farren (The Witcher), Luke Fetherston (Still Up), Kate Fleetwood (Wheel of Time), Rob Gilbert (Killing Eve), Rebecca Lowman (Prime Suspect), Sally Phillips (Veep), Ukweli Roach (Wolf), and Amalia Vitale (Beyond Paradise), with Joanna Page (Gavin & Stacey) guest starring as herself.

Big Mood will premiere in the US and Canada exclusively on Tubi in April 2024 (date tba).

A project of Dancing Ledge Productions, the series is created and written by Camilla Whitehill (Porters), and directed by Rebecca Asher (Dead to Me). It is executive produced by Lotte Beasley Mestriner (The Young Offenders), Laurence Bowen (The Salisbury Poisonings, The Responder), and Chris Carey (Crossfire, Wedding Season) for Dancing Ledge Productions, and produced by Georgie Fallon (Dalgliesh). Big Mood was commissioned for the UK’s Channel 4 by Commissioning Editor Laura Riseam. The deal was brokered by Lisa Honig, Senior EVP Distribution North America for Freemantle (which is handling global distribution for the series) with Sam Harowitz, VP of Acquisition and Partnerships at Tubi.

Stay tuned for updates.
