BritBox announced today that it will be the exclusive home in North America to Kate & Koji, the ITV sitcom starring Brenda Blethyn and Jimmy Akingbola.
Starring two-time Oscar® nominee Brenda Blethyn (Vera, Secrets & Lies) and Jimmy Akingbola (Arrow, In the Long Run), Kate & Koji follows the unlikely friendship between Kate, a working-class woman who runs an old-fashioned seaside café in South Essex, and Koji, an African doctor and asylum seeker. Although from very different worlds, they are similar in ways they do not recognize, including a dogged determination to never back down.
Filmed in the picturesque coastal town of Herne Bay in Kent, South East England, the six-episode first season features Barbara Flynn (The Durrells in Corfu), Blake Harrison (Prime Suspect: Tennison), and Victor McGuire (Trollied).
Kate & Koji premieres in North America on Tuesday, April 13, exclusively on BritBox and its digital channels, including BritBox on Amazon Channels.
