Some of the most popular international titles from Walter Presents have joined PBS programs on the latter’s Amazon streaming channel.
Following up on my article about the agreement between PBS Distribution and Walter Presents, I can now tell you that the addition of the latter’s English-subtitled foreign-language shows to the PBS Masterpiece channel on Amazon is live.
By my count, 33 English-subtitled international programs from Walter Presents are currently available for streaming, alongside the likes of popular PBS titles such as Endeavour, Jamestown, and Poldark, to subscribers of PBS’s paid video-on-demand channel. The Walter Presents shows are:
- 13 Commandments — mystery-crime thriller from Belgium
- The Adulterer — psychological thriller from the Netherlands
- Baron Noir — political drama from France
- Black Widow — crime drama from the Netherlands
- Caïn — mystery-crime drama from France
- The Cleaning Lady — crime thriller from Argentina
- Dead Man Working — thriller from Germany
- Elite Squad — crime-action thriller from France
- Forgotten Girls — crime thriller from France
- Frozen Sky — contemporary drama from Germany
- Home Guards — crime thriller from Hungary
- Hotel Adlon — historical drama from Germany
- The Hunter — crime thriller from France
- The Lens — crime thriller from the Czech Republic
- Line of Separation — historical drama from Germany
- Match Day — crime drama from France
- The Mind of a Murderer — crime thriller from Germany
- Modus — crime thriller from Sweden
- New Texas — comedy-drama from Belgium
- Nick’s Law — crime drama from Germany
- Night & Day — thriller from Spain
- No Limit — action thriller from France
- Norskov — crime drama from Denmark
- Point Blank — crime thriller from Germany

(Note that these shows represent roughly half of the titles currently available on Walter Presents, an SVOD service in the US dedicated to high-quality foreign-language programs.)
A subscription to the PBS Masterpiece channel, which like all Amazon channels, is available exclusively to Amazon Prime members and costs $5.99 per month after the free 7-day trial.
The agreement also allows PBS to broadcast select Walter Presents titles on PBS stations, as well as to stream them on PBS Passport, so stay tuned for news about when they are added to PBS’ schedule.
