For stateside viewers who have been longing for the new series of Doc Martin to arrive on broadcast television, your wait is nearly over.
The abrasive and blood-phobic (yet still lovable) crank of a GP that is Doc Martin, along with the rest of the quirky villagers of Portwenn, will be returning to our screens via local public television stations (predominantly PBS member stations) beginning February 2014.
So, what can we expect to see? A lot. But no spoilers here, just a few ticklers… Will Martin (Martin Clunes) and Louisa (Caroline Catz) actually make it down the aisle and get married this time? Has Mrs. Tishell (Selina Cadell) come to her senses or is she still fanning her flame of unrequited love for the doc? And who reappears in Martin’s life as the bearer of sad news? All this and more dramatic good fun is in store when the hit series returns to public television.
