Sundance and AMC+ released today the trailer for the provocative new drama Fifteen-Love, starring Ella Lily Hyland and Aidan Turner. Check it out.
In Fifteen-Love, Ella Lily Hyland (Silent Roar, Intruder) plays Justine Pearce, a former tennis prodigy, and Aidan Turner (The Suspect, Poldark) plays Glenn Lapthorn, Justine’s former coach.
The six-episode drama follows Justine’s meteoric rise and tragic fall in the elite world of Grand Slam tennis, the latter of which occurred when her French Open success was wrecked by a tragedy. Five years after her retirement, Justine seems to have finally healed, physically and psychologically. But then her peace is shattered when Glenn is thrust back into the limelight after his new player wins the French Open.
When Justine makes an explosive allegation against Glenn, the battle over the truth of their past reaches new heights, forcing everyone to reconsider what they thought they knew. As both seek glory at the Grand Slam grass-court event of the year, the stately world of professional tennis is rocked by lies, deceit, and a desperate bid for control.
Examining the intense pressures of professional sports, this drama is a gripping he-said/she-said exploration of trust, power and competition — and what can be lost when you’ll do anything to win.
Fifteen-Love, a Sundance Now Original series, premieres in the US with the first two episodes on Thursday, August 22, on Sundance Now and AMC+. New episodes will drop on Thursdays through September 19.
Produced by World Productions Ltd. and ITV, the series is created and written by Hania Elkington (The Innocents) and directed by Eva Riley (Perfect 10) and Toby MacDonald (Extraordinary). Elkington, Riley, and Macdonald also serve as executive producers, along with Jake Lushington and Roderick Seligman.
