UPtv has set the US cable premiere date for Blue Skies, a new police procedural drama series from Canada.
Fans of shows featuring canines, here’s another one for you.
From the German crime drama Inspector Rex and its local versions, including the Canadian series Hudson & Rex, to the Japanese animated series Sherlock Hound, producers have sniffed out that viewers are partial to programs featuring canine crime fighters.
So, here’s another one: Blue Skies, starring Scarlet Hunter (Invasion, Alert, Home and Away).
Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Crystal Ridge National Park, Blue Skies follows Detective Jodi Larsen (Scarlet Hunter), a former military police officer who returns to her hometown to start over as a criminal investigator for the National Park Police. Driven by a love of the outdoors and a deep sense of justice, Jodi is determined to protect the park, its visitors, and her community, tackling cases involving missing persons, environmental crimes, and secrets hidden deep within the park’s 5,000 square miles.
But Jodi’s fresh start is anything but simple. She’s navigating a new team, a by-the-book superintendent, and a journey to reconnect with her father after her mother passed away while she was deployed. And she has an unexpected partner: a mischievous stray Labrador named Blue, whose instincts prove sharper than most trained K9s.
Already renewed for a second season, the hit first season of Blue Skies, an UP Faith & Family Original series, has its US cable TV premiere on Thursday, August 13, at 9pm ET, on UPtv. It is currently available for streaming on UP Faith & Family and its digital channels, including UP Faith & Family on Prime Channels.
