Fans of shows in the “Law & Order” universe, there’s another one coming your way!

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent, based on the classic “Law & Order” series format created by Dick Wolf, is an original adaptation of the New York City-set Law & Order: Criminal Intent.

The Canadian launch of the “Toronto” series in 2024 was the #1 primetime premiere on Citytv and the #1 primetime debut for a drama of the season, which hopefully bodes well for the show’s US premiere this fall.

Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent stars Aden Young (Rectify, Reckoning, The Disappearance) as Detective Sergeant Henry Graff and Kathleen Munroe (City on Fire, FBI, Patriot) as Detective Sergeant Frankie Bateman. As members of the Specialized Criminal Investigations Unit, Graff and Bateman investigate high-profile homicides in Canada’s largest metropolis. Their unique investigative skills are showcased through psychological tactics, with a heavy focus on the motives and actions of the criminals. These cases delve into the worlds of high finance, politics, real estate, media, and more.

Costars include K. C. Collins (The Cleaning Lady, Pretty Hard Cases), Karen Robinson (Pretty Hard Cases, Cross), Araya Mengesha (Tiny Pretty Things, Anne with an E), and Nicola Correia-Damude (SkyMed, Resident Alien).

The ten-episode Law & Order Toronto: Criminal Intent: Season 1 will premiere in the US on The CW in fall 2025. Stay tuned for updates.
