Amazon Freevee has set the US and Germany premiere dates for action-drama thriller series Boat Story. Check out the trailer.
Boat Story follows two strangers, Janet (Daisy Haggard, Back to Life, Breeders) and Samuel (Paterson Joseph, Wonka, Vigil), who can’t believe their luck when they stumble upon a shipwrecked boat full of cocaine. With each of them desperate for a fresh start, they agree to sell the drugs and split the cash. But they quickly find themselves being pursued by the police, masked hit men, and a sharp-suited gangster known only as “The Tailor” (Tcheky Karyo, Baptiste, The Missing).
When two ordinary people are pushed to the very edge, can they trust each other and get away with their lives and money?
Boat Story premieres in the US on Tuesday, March 12, and in Germany on Thursday, April 18, exclusively on Amazon Freevee in both countries.
The cast also includes Joanna Scanlan (The Light in the Hall, The Larkins), Craig Fairbrass (One Piece, A Violent Man), Phil Daniels (House of the Dragon, EastEnders), and Ethan Lawrence (Bad Education, After Life).
Written by Harry and Jack Williams, Boat Story is produced by their award-winning production company, Two Brothers Pictures (The Tourist, The Missing, Fleabag), in association with All3Media International. The series is directed by Harry Williams, Jack Williams, Alice Troughton (A Discovery of Witches), and Daniel Nettheim (Line of Duty). The executive producers are Harry and Jack Williams, Christopher Aird, Sarah Hammond, Daniel Walkers, Tommy Bulfin, and Nawfal Faizullah, with Matthew Bird serving as producer.
