Created by Primetime Emmy® Award winner Stephen Merchant (The Office) and Palm Springs International Film Festival winner Elgin James (Mayans M.C.), The Outlaws is a comedy thriller centered on seven strangers who must complete their Community Payback sentences together.

The Outlaws, an Amazon Original, premieres in the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Nordics on Friday, April 1, exclusively on Prime Video. (You can add it to your watchlist now).

The six-episode first season stars Academy Award® winner Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter) (in his first British TV role), Stephen Merchant, Rhianne Barreto (Hanna), Gamba Cole (A Discovery of Witches), Darren Boyd (Killing Eve), Clare Perkins (EastEnders), and Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark).

Set in Bristol, the series follows the septet as they are forced to renovate a derelict community center, a community service ordered by the court for their custodial sentences. Were it not for getting caught for their law-breaking, these folks probably would never have met, yet here they are — 70-something conman and womanizer Frank (Walken); recently-divorced and inept corporate lawyer Greg (Merchant); scholarship student and kleptomaniac Rani (Barreto); socialite social media influencer and substance abuser Lady Gabriella “Gabby” Penrose-Howe (Tomlinson); right-wing blowhard and failing businessman John (Boyd); civil rights veteran and radical activist Myrna (Perkins); and Christian (Cole), the sole carer for his young sister and a young man in debt to a criminal gang.

Bickering while cleaning up the place is one thing, but when they discover a bag full of cash, life as they know it changes in that moment — not least because they aren’t the only people who want the money. Soon they find themselves caught in the middle of a dangerous criminal turf war. How will they get out of it?

Costars include Jessica Gunning (Back), Dolly Wells (Spy), Aiyana Goodfellow (Small Axe), Ian McElhinney (Game of Thrones), Nina Wadia (Death in Paradise), Charles Babalola (Bancroft), Tom Hanson (Brassic), Claes Bang (Dracula), Sam Troughton (Ragdoll), and Richard E. Grant (Dispatches from Elsewhere).

Season 2 is due later this year. Stay tuned for updates.
