It won’t be long now. Season 2 of the epic fantasy series His Dark Materials premieres in the US in one month.

Stateside fans of His Dark Materials, mark your calendars for Monday, November 16, 9 PM ET/PT, as that is when Season 2 of the fantasy drama premieres in the US on HBO. It will also be available to stream on HBO Max.

(The UK debut date for BBC One has not been announced yet.)

Based on Philip Pullman‘s novel series of the same name, Season 2 of His Dark Materials begins after Lord Asriel has opened a bridge to a new world. Distraught over the death of her best friend, Lyra follows Asriel into the unknown. It is in a strange and mysterious abandoned city that she meets Will, a boy from our world who is also running from a troubled past. Lyra and Will learn their destinies are tied to reuniting Will with his father, but find their path is constantly thwarted as a war begins to brew around them. Meanwhile, Mrs. Coulter searches for Lyra, determined to bring her home by any means necessary.

Season 2 series regulars include Dafne Keen (The Refugees) as Lyra Belacqua, Ruth Wilson (The Affair) as Mrs. Coulter, Amir Wilson (The Letter for the King) as Will Parry, Ariyon Bakare (Good Omens) as Carlo Boreal, Andrew Scott (Fleabag) as Colonel John Parry, Will Keen (The Crown) as Father MacPhail, Ruta Gedmintas (The Strain) as Serafina Pekkala, and Lin-Manuel Miranda (Hamilton) as Lee Scoresby. Joining the cast this season are Terence Stamp (Crooked House) as Giacomo Paradisi, Jade Anouka (Turn Up Charlie) as Ruta Skadi, and Simone Kirby (Resistance) as Dr. Mary Malone.
