Downton Abbey Does Breaking Bad on The Colbert Report

Apparently, Stephen Colbert does give a toss about Downton Abbey. And he’s had it up to here with First Lady Michelle Obama. (Nudge, nudge. Wink, wink.)

The deal is this: “Lady Michelle Antoinette” asked for and received an advanced copy of Downton Abbey: Season 3, while he and the rest of us have to wait until January 6 for the premiere. Beside himself at such an abuse of power, Colbert did what only he can do. He one-upped her.

Colbert got permission from Vince Gilligan, creator of Breaking Bad, to show scenes from this program’s upcoming season… as enacted by Downton cast members.

The result is bleeping brilliant.
