Starring Sienna Miller (Anatomy of a Scandal, The Girl) and Dominic West (The Crown, The Hour, the first season of War, a new legal drama anthology series, follows the the lives of London’s most powerful lawyers at firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne.
These legal eagles are on opposing sides of the explosive, high-stakes, headline-grabbing divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) and international film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller). As Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients, ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren (Archie Renaux, The Jetty, Shadow and Bone) gets drawn into this ruthless world where ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything.
War, an HBO Original Series, premieres in the US on Thursday, October 1, at 9pm ET/PT, on HBO, with streaming available on HBO Max. New episodes will drop weekly through November 19. (The eight-episode series premieres in the UK with the first episode on Friday, 2 October, on Sky and streaming service NOW.)
The series costars Phoebe Fox (Task, The Great) as Serena Byrne and James McArdle (Playing Nice, Sexy Beast) as Nicholas Taylor, partners in life and business at Taylor & Byrne, and Nina Sosanya (Baby Reindeer, Screw) as Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens (The Crown, Poldark) as St John Smallwood, their counterparts and fierce rivals at Cathcarts & Sons.

A co-production of New Pictures (a Banijay company) and Observatory Pictures, in association with Sky and HBO, War is created, written, and executive produced by George Kay (Hijack, The Long Shadow, Lupin), alongside executive producers Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford for New Pictures, and Susan Breen, Ben Taylor, Andrea Dewsbury, and Megan Spanjian for Sky. The lead director is Ben Taylor (Sex Education, Catastrophe), and the series producer is Laurie Borg.
