In this new comedy series, domineering granny Debbie Fendon (Dawn French, The Vicar of Dibley, Delicious) is a woman who will stop at nothing to protect her family. It’s just that the person they most need protecting from is her. When her hermit-like husband, William (Mark Heap, The Trouble with Maggie Cole, Friday Night Dinner), unexpectedly dies, she makes an outlandish decision that will put the family under more pressure than ever before.
Because William isn’t actually dead; he just got mistakenly declared it and has been living in the loft while they wait for the life insurance to pay out. The Puzzle Lady (UK)
Phyllis Logan (Downton Abbey, Guilt) stars in this mystery-crime drama series as Cora Felton, who has a best-selling crossword column and a popular brand of biscuits. But behind her Puzzle Lady persona is a chain-smoking, wisecracking, borderline alcoholic and fraudulent frontwoman for her long-suffering niece, Sherry Carter (Charlotte Hope, Catch Me a Killer, The Spanish Princess), the real puzzle expert, whose brilliant crossword puzzles have become a national sensation.
Soon after Cora and Sherry move to the sleepy market town of Bakerbury, a strange murder takes place, one in which a crossword puzzle clue is left on the body, leaving the local police baffled. Despite her lack of expertise, Cora can’t help but turn amateur sleuth, much to the chagrin of Detective Chief Inspector Hooper (Adam Best, Blue Lights), who wishes he’d never involved her in the first place.

Dreaming Whilst Black: Season 2 (UK)

The film explores the resulting tensions that arose, the violent clashes that broke out (like the “Battle of Bamber Bridge”), the British support of the Black troops, and the lasting impact of this wartime racism.
