Prime Video announced today the global premiere date for Octopus!, a new documentary special executive produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Octopus!, a new two-part documentary special narrated and executive produced by Emmy® Award winner Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Crashing), transports viewers into the otherworldly depths of one of the most intelligent and mysterious life forms on Earth as it follows the Giant Pacific Octopus from birth to death.
The documentary features an eclectic mix of characters who have their own unique connections to these creatures, from the scientist trying to save them, the explorer trying to understand them, to the Emmy®-nominated actor and comedian, Tracy Morgan, who is obsessed with them.
Octopus! premieres globally on Thursday, May 8, exclusively on Prime Video.
A co-production of Academy Award®-winning Jigsaw Productions, Waller-Bridge’s Wells Street Films, and Amazon MGM Studios, the documentary is directed by Emmy® nominee Niharika Desai (States of Undress, Gaycation), and executive produced by Jenny Robins and Phoebe Waller-Bridge for Wells Street Films, Stacey Offman and Richard Perello for Jigsaw Productions, and showrunner Melissa Wood.
