Created, written, and directed by two-time BAFTA TV Award winner Stefan Golaszewski (Mum, Him & Her), Marriage centers on Ian (two-time BAFTA winner Sean Bean, Time, Broken, Game of Thrones) and Emma (two-time BAFTA nominee Nicola Walker, Last Tango in Halifax, Unforgotten, Annika), a couple who have been married for 27 years.
The contemporary drama takes a sometimes funny, sometimes moving, always revealing look at the need for togetherness and the joy of love in a difficult world, as its four episodes follow Ian and Emma through the ups and downs of their marriage. As they negotiate the insecurities, the ambiguities, the hopes and the fears of their long-term intimate relationship, they also experience its risks and its gifts.
Marriage premieres in the US on Monday, May 29, exclusively on the PBS Masterpiece Prime Video Channel.
The cast includes Chantelle Alle (We Are Lady Parts), James Bolam (New Tricks), Jack Holden (Ten Percent), and Henry Lloyd-Hughes (Indian Summers), amongst others.
