HBO Max announced today the US premiere date for Season 2 of the UK reality competition series The Bridge. Check out the trailer.
The stakes are considerably higher in Season 2 of the adrenaline-packed and adventure-filled British reality-competition series The Bridge, and the action is as turbulent and unpredictable as ever, with plenty of mind games and power plays amongst the contestants.
Hosted by AJ Odudu (Strictly Come Dancing, Celebrity Big Brother) from Vietnam’s Ha Long Bay, with Aldo Kane (OceanXplorers, Welcome To Earth) as the series’ adventure expert, the new season of The Bridge features not one but two groups of strangers, each of which sets out for a cabin deep within the rain forests of the South China Sea with no knowledge of what challenges the group members will be taking on — only that a massive cash prize is at stake. As in £200,000, double the Season 1 prize.
But to reach the money, the contestants must construct a roughly 1,000-foot bridge with their bare hands and limited supplies — and only a few days to complete it.
As the competitors cast aside their egos and differences to tackle this ultimate test of physical and mental endurance, they learn that only one of them will take home the prize.
The Bridge: Season 2, a Max Original, premieres in the US in its eight-episode entirety on Thursday, June 30, exclusively on HBO Max.
Based on the acclaimed Spanish series El Puente, originally produced by Zeppelin (part of Banijay Iberia), The Bridge is an HBO Max Original co-produced with Workerbee, a Banijay company, for Channel 4 in the UK. The series is executive produced by Jon Cahn, Michelle Chappell, and Rick Murray.
