RLJ Entertainment, headquartered in Silver Spring, Maryland, is currently accepting résumés for the Publicity Assistant position.
The Publicity Assistant supports the Senior Publicity Director in handling a variety of publicity matters — from crafting press releases and responding to press inquiries, to securing reviews and facilitating actors’ interviews, and more — for the British TV-centric Acorn TV streaming service, Acorn DVD/Blu-ray releases, and others of the Acorn brands.
As a key member of the RLJE marketing team, the Publicity Assistant interacts with RLJE staff in the US, UK, and Australia, as well as media contacts, talent (i.e. actors, producers, etc), and members of the public, amongst others.
If you’re a fan of British and international television programs and/or you have experience working in this niche, you’ve already fulfilled one of the hiring requirements. Ditto if your experience includes work in publicity, even better if it is/was at an entertainment or media company.
