BritBox has announced the North American premiere date for the new period drama series, The Other Bennet Sister. Check out the teaser trailer.

Based on Janice Hadlow’s best-selling, eponymous novel, The Other Bennet Sister follows Mary Bennet, the oft-overlooked middle sister in Pride and Prejudice, placing her front and center instead of Lizzie (or even Jane).
Starring as Mary Bennet is Ella Bruccoleri (Call the Midwife, Bridgerton). Alongside her are Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey, Stella) and Richard E. Grant (Withnail & I, Can You Ever Forgive Me?) as Mary’s parents, Mrs. and Mr. Bennet, and Indira Varma (Obi-Wan Kenobi, The Night Manager) and Richard Coyle (Heads of State, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina) as Mrs. and Mr. Gardiner, Mary’s worldly aunt and uncle.
The cast also includes Tanya Reynolds (The Decameron, Sex Education) as as Caroline Bingley, Dónal Finn (The Wheel of Time, SAS Rogue Heroes) as Mr. Hayward, Varada Sethu (Doctor Who, Andor) as Ann Baxter, and Laurie Davidson (A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story, The Girlfriend) as Mr. Ryder.
Rounding out the cast are Maddie Close (Sunflower Child), Poppy Gilbert (My Oxford Year, Chloe), Molly Wright (The A Word, APOSTASY), and Grace Hogg-Robinson (The Coroner, COBRA) as the other Bennet sisters, Jane, Lizzie, Kitty, and Lydia Bennet, respectively.
The story begins at Longbourn, the Bennet family home, where Mr. and Mrs. Bennet preside over a lively household of five unmarried daughters: Jane, Elizabeth, Mary, Kitty, and Lydia. As society’s pressures mount, the Bennet sisters navigate the glittering yet precarious world of Regency England, where marriage is both an aspiration and a necessity.
While her sisters pursue romance and social triumph, Mary embarks on a very different path. Leaving Longbourn behind, she travels to London to live with her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Gardiner, in their elegant home on Gracechurch Street. There, Mary begins a journey of self-discovery, stepping out of the shadows and into her own story.
The Other Bennet Sister premieres in North America on Wednesday, May 6, exclusively on BritBox. (It will air in the UK on BBC One and stream on BBC iPlayer.)
Filmed in Wales, with iconic settings from Pride and Prejudice, including the Meryton Assembly Ball and the Netherfield Ball, the series is directed by Jennifer Sheridan (Extraordinary) and Asim Abbasi (Cake), and written by Sarah Quintrell (The Power, Ellen), along with Maddie Dai (We Were Dangerous).
The Other Bennet Sister is produced by Bad Wolf (His Dark Materials, Industry) in a co-production with BBC iPlayer and BBC One. Bad Wolf is supported by the Welsh Government via Creative Wales.
