Announced at the same time as Netflix’s Emmy®-nominated Adolescence a year and a half ago, House of Guinness is an epic historical drama series about one of Europe’s most famous and enduring dynasties: the Guinness Family.

Set in 19th-century Dublin and New York, the series focuses on the consequences of the death of Benjamin Guinness, the man responsible for the extraordinary success of the Guinness brewery, and the far-reaching impact his cunning has on the fate of his four adult children — Arthur, Edward, Anne, and Ben — as well as on a group of Dublin characters who work and interact with the growing juggernaut that is Guinness.

Starring as the four heirs are Anthony Boyle (Masters of the Air, Manhunt) as Arthur Guinness, Louis Partridge (Pistol, Enola Holmes) as Edward Guinness, Emily Fairn (The Responder, Black Mirror) as Anne Plunket (née Guinness), and Fionn O’Shea (Normal People, The Letter for the King) as Benjamin Guinness.

The cast also includes James Norton (Happy Valley, Joy) as Sean Rafferty, Niamh McCormack (Everything Now, The Witcher) as Ellen Cochrane, Seamus O’Hara (Blue Lights, Say Nothing) as Patrick Cochrane, Michael McElhatton (Game of Thrones, The Long Shadow) as John Potter, Dervla Kirwan (True Detective, Smother) as Aunt Agnes Guinness, Michael Colgan (Say Nothing, The Regime) as Reverend Henry Gratton, Danielle Galligan (Shadow and Bone, Obituary) as Lady Olivia Hedges, David Wilmot (Bodkin, Resistance) as Bonnie Champion, Jessica Reynolds (Kneecap, The Wolf, the Fox and the Leopard) as Lady Christine O’Madden, Hilda Fay (The Woman in the Wall, Spilt Milk) as Sultan, Ann Skelly (The Nevers, The Sandman) as Adelaide Guinness, Elizabeth Dulau (Andor, Wicked) as Lady Henrietta St Lawrence, and Jack Gleeson (Game of Thrones, The Sandman) as Byron Hedges, amongst others.

House of Guinness, a Netflix Series, premieres globally as an eight-episode binge on Thursday, September 25, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
