The intriguing psychological mystery-crime drama series Suspect is returning soon with its second season, arriving this summer on Channel 4 in the UK and this fall on BritBox International in the US and Canada.
Picking up from where Season 1 left off, the eight-part second season finds Dr. Susannah Newman (Anne-Marie Duff, Bad Sisters, The Salisbury Poisonings) on a quest to find the truth about her daughter’s tragic death. When a mysterious new client named Jon (Dominic Cooper, Preacher, Mamma Mia!) makes a disturbing confession under hypnosis, Susannah is forced to embark on her own deadly mission to save a life, the way she couldn’t do with her own daughter.

Season 2 of Suspect is directed by Carolina Giammetta (Before We Die, Hollington Drive) and written by Joy Wilkinson (Lockwood & Co.) and David Allison (Trust Me). Fremantle handles global sales for the series.
Based on the Danish series Face to Face (Forhøret), a Miso Film production created by Christoffer Boe and written by Christoffer Boe and Anna Juul, Suspect is a production of Eagle Eye Drama, which brought us the British remakes of other European shows, including mystery series Professor T (based on the Belgian series Professor T), drama thriller The Couple Next Door (based on the Dutch series Nieuwe buren, aka The Neighbors), and crime thriller Before We Die (based on the Swedish series Innan vi dör, aka Before We Die).
The executive producers of both Forhøret and Suspect are Christoffer Boe, Jonas Allen, and Peter Bose. Suspect has been produced in association with Happy Duck Films and the Belgian Tax Shelter.
