Apple TV+ announced today the global premiere date for Season 4 of the critically-acclaimed, audience-favorite espionage drama series Slow Horses. (Woo hoo!)
Adapted from Spook Street, the fourth novel in CWA Gold Dagger Award winner Mick Herron’s “Slough House” spy series, Season 4 of Slow Horses opens with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking Slough House’s already unstable foundations.
Slow Horses: Season 4 premieres globally on Wednesday, September 4, with the first two episodes, exclusively on Apple TV+, followed by one new episode every Wednesday through October 2.
Oscar® winner Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour, Mank, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy) reprises his role in the darkly humorous espionage drama as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant, irascible, and misanthropic leader of the Slough House spies, all of whom ended up there due to their career-ending mistakes.
The returning ensemble cast also includes Academy Award® nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (The English Patient, Four Weddings and a Funeral), BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden (The Gold, Small Axe), Saskia Reeves (Roadkill, Belgravia), Rosalind Eleazar (Deep Water, Harlots), Christopher Chung (Waterloo Road, Neighbours), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Peaky Blinders, Detectorists), Kadiff Kirwan (This Is Going to Hurt, This Way Up), and Academy Award nominee Jonathan Pryce (The Crown, Game of Thrones).
Joining the Season 4 cast are SAG Award winner Hugo Weaving (“The Matrix” films), BAFTA Award winner Joanna Scanlan (No Offence), IFTA Award winner Ruth Bradley (Rebellion), Tom Brooke (Preacher), and James Callis (Battlestar Gallactica).
Slow Horses is produced for Apple TV+ by See-Saw Films and adapted for television by Will Smith (Veep). Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Jane Robertson, Julian Stevens, Douglas Urbanski, Gail Mutrux, Graham Yost, and Smith serve as executive producers on the series. Season 4 is directed by Adam Randall.
