Academy Award® nominee Jeff Goldblum (Little Surprises, Jurassic Park, The Fly) plays Zeus in the eight-episode Kaos.

Zeus has long enjoyed his status as King of The Gods — until he wakes up one morning and discovers a wrinkle on his forehead. Neurosis quickly sets in, setting Zeus off on a dangerous and paranoid path, convinced that his fall is coming… and now seeing signs of it everywhere.

Hades (Primetime Emmy® nominee David Thewlis, “Harry Potter” films, Fargo), God of the Underworld, and Zeus’s once-reliable brother, is secretly losing his grip on his dark dominion. There is a backlog of dead waiting to be processed and they are growing restless.

Hera (two-time Oscar® nominee Janet McTeer, Albert Nobbs, Tumbleweeds), Queen of the Gods, exercises dominion on Earth — and over Zeus — in her own unique way. But her power and freedom become threatened by Zeus’s growing paranoia, and she is forced to act, while Zeus’s rebellious son, Dionysus, (Royal Television Society award winner Nabhaan Rizwan, Informer, Station Eleven), is out of control and on course for a cosmic collision with his father.

Meanwhile, people on earth are aching for change. However, Poseidon (New Zealand Film and TV Awards winner Cliff Curtis, Whale Rider, Fear the Walking Dead), God of Sea, Storms, and Earthquakes (and Horses) is more concerned with the size of his super-yacht and the location of the next party. The well-being of mere mortals is of little interest to him. Unfortunately for the Gods, some of those mortals are beginning to realize this.

Although mortals Riddy (Aurora Perrineau, Prodigal Son, Westworld), Orpheus (Killian Scott, Dublin Murders, C.B. Strike), Caneus (Misia Butler, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself, Kiss Me First), and Ari (Leila Farzad, I Hate Suzie, Better) come from different walks of life, they are all cosmically connected in the battle against Zeus. Each one has a very different role to play, and any one of them may be destined to bring down the Gods.

KAOS, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Thursday, August 29, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
