Boiling Point: Drama Miniseries Set for US Premiere

Drama miniseries Boiling Point is set to premiere in the US and other territories.

Before there was the series The Bear, there was the 2019 short film Boiling Point, followed by the critically-acclaimed 2021 feature film Boiling Point, both of which star Stephen Graham (Bodies, Time, Snatch) as Chef Andy Jones. The success of the latter led to the development of the miniseries Boiling Point, which serves as a continuation of the feature film.

The movie, filmed in one shot, follows the goings-on in the kitchen of a posh London restaurant on their busiest night of the year. From the results of the health and safety inspection and the evening’s service being overbooked, to conflicts in the kitchen and dining room and a diner’s major medical incident, the pressure on the front- and back-of-house staff is relentless.

Boiling Point the miniseries picks up the story six months on from where the film left off, with Vinette Robinson (The Lazarus Project, The A Word) reprising her role as Carly, Andy’s former Sous Chef, now the Head Chef at her own restaurant, who’s taken most of the former restaurant’s kitchen and front-of-house staff with her. As with Andy, Carly is trying like the dickens to juggle the responsibilities of her professional and personal life, but the pressure is taking its toll.

The four-episode drama features several cast members from the film, including Hannah Walters (Time, No Offense) as Emily, Ray Panthaki (The Serpent Queen, Marcella) as Freeman, Gary Lamont (Outlander, Karen Pirie) as Dean, Hannah Traylen (Beyond Paradise, Ridley Road) as Holly, Daniel Larkai (Malpractice, Villain) as Jake, Taz Skylar (One Piece, Agatha Raisin) as Billy, Áine Rose Daly (Hanna, Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan) as Robyn, Stephen McMillan (The North Water, Outlaw King) as Jamie, and Stephen Graham as Andy.
