Peacock announced today the US premiere date for Season 2 of mystery-crime drama series Vigil, starring Suranne Jones and Rose Leslie. Check out the trailer.
Following on from the events in Season 1, the six-episode second season of Vigil moves the action from a submarine to dry land in Scotland as well as the Middle East.
After a prototype combat drone is compromised and several soldiers are killed at a Scottish military facility, DCI Amy Silva (Suranne Jones, Gentleman Jack, Scott & Bailey) and DI Kirsten Longacre (Rose Leslie, Game of Thrones, The Good Fight) of Police Scotland are tasked with uncovering the cause and finding the perpetrator. As they enter the hostile and closed ranks of the Air Force and face the deadly warfare of tomorrow, Silva discovers a wider conspiracy involving a controversial Middle Eastern ally, the British government, and private drone-development enterprise.
Vigil: Season 2, a Peacock Original series, premieres in the US as a full-season binge on Thursday, February 15, 2024, exclusively on Peacock.
Created, written, and executive produced by BAFTA nominee Tom Edge (C.B. Strike, Lovesick, The Crown), Vigil‘s second season cast includes Gary Lewis (Rig 45), Dougray Scott (Crime), Romola Garai (The Hour), Amir El-Masry (Rogue Heroes), David Elliot (Bulletproof), Oscar Salem (House of the Dragon), Chris Jenks (Sex Education), Jonathan Ajayi (Noughts + Crosses), Steven Elder (A Spy Among Friends), Khalid Laith Nicoel (Deep State), and Alastair Mackenzie (Monarch of the Glen).
