Netflix has set the global premiere date for the new British romantic drama series One Day.
Based on One Day, the international best-selling novel by David Nicholls, One Day, the limited series, is a decades-spanning love story starring Ambika Mod (This Is Going to Hurt, I Hate Suzie) and Leo Woodall (The White Lotus, The Citadel).
(The novel was previously adapted for the 2011 film of the same name starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess.)
One Day tells the story of Emma Morley (Ambika Mod) and Dexter Mayhew (Leo Woodall), who, on July 15, 1988, the night of their graduation from uni, speak for the very first time. The next morning, they go their separate ways.
But where will they be on this one ordinary day the next year, and the year after that, and every year that follows? Each episode finds Dex and Em reuniting on the same date each year — one year older, growing and changing, moving together and apart, experiencing joy and heartbreak…
One Day, a Netflix Series, premieres globally on Thursday, February 8, 2024, exclusively on Netflix. (You can set a reminder for it now.)
