BritBox is set to become home to the largest collection of British period dramas in North America next month, when the streamer adds a whopping 76 titles to its offerings.
BritBox is going to be a British period drama lover’s paradise in December 2020, when the subscription video-on-demand service begins streaming 76 more period dramas from the UK — adding one or more titles every day of the month, except Christmas Day (December 25) and Boxing Day (December 26).
From comedies and classic dramas, such as the excellent Primetime Emmy®-nominated The Duchess of Duke Street, starring Gemma Jones in one of her BAFTA-nominated roles, to mysteries and unforgettable love stories, like the viewer favorite North & South, starring Daniela Denby-Ashe and Richard Armitage, the 76 titles — which begin streaming on the dates shown below — join the programs already in BritBox’s “Period Drama” Collection, including Cranford, Pride and Prejudice (restored in 4K Ultra HD), and Upstairs Downstairs (2010), amongst many others.
