BritBox will be expanding its roster of iconic British shows from the past and present by more than 250 hours in the coming months.
A couple of newly-closed deals with key content distributors mean BritBox, the streaming service from BBC Studios and ITV, will be bringing even more British TV shows — 250+ hours’ worth — to its subscribers in North America.
Said Soumya Sriraman, President of BritBox:
“Our relationship with both Kew Media Distribution and Endemol Shine continues to grow. This new deal is just another instance that BritBox is committed to bringing the best of British content to our communities all on one service.”
Titles include crime thriller Line of Duty, starring Martin Compston, Adrian Dunbar and Vicky Mclure, with guest stars including Keeley Hawes (Bodyguard) and Thandie Newton (Westworld); mystery-crime dramas Thorne: Sleepyhead and Thorne: Scaredy Cat, starring David Morrissey (The Walking Dead) and Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones); and Pointless, a popular BBC One game show hosted by Alexander Armstrong (Hunderby) with Richard Osman (Would I Lie to You).
Also included are 8 out of 10 Cats, a cult favorite panel show hosted by comedian Jimmy Carr, and the mystery-spy classic MI-5, starring Peter Firth, Matthew Macfayden and Keeley Hawes, amongst other titles.
Stay tuned for updates.
