Adapted from In The Woods and The Likeness — the first two novels in Tana French’s “Dublin Murder Squad” crime series, Dublin Murder the series is an atmospheric, psychological thriller starring Killian Scott (C.B. Strike, Jack Taylor) and Sarah Greene (Penny Dreadful, Ransom).

When a young girl is found murdered in a dense wood on the outskirts of Dublin, Detective Rob Reilly (Scott), a smart-suited detective whose English accent marks him as an outsider, is sent to investigate with his partner, Detective Cassie Maddox (Greene). Against his better judgment and protected by his friendship with Cassie, Rob is pulled back into another case of missing children and forced to confront his own darkness. As the case intensifies, Rob and Cassie’s relationship is tested to the breaking point, and when Cassie is sent undercover for another murder case, she is forced to come face to face with her own brutal reckoning.

Created and written by Sarah Phelps (And Then There Were None, The Casual Vacancy), the eight-episode drama features a predominantly Irish cast, which includes Tom Vaughan-Lawlor (Love/Hate), Moe Dunford (Striking Out), Leah McNamara (Vikings), Ian Kenny (Solo: A Star Wars Story), Eugene O’Hare (The Fall), Jonny Holden (Women on the Verge), Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones), and Peter McDonald (Moone Boy).

Saul Dibb (The Duchess) is the lead director, supported by John Hayes (Bancroft) and Rebecca Gatward (Shetland).

Dublin Murders will premiere in the US and Canada on Starz, as well as in Germany, France, Italy, and Spain on Starz Play, in 2019, with select additional territories to be announced.

The series, produced by Euston Films, Veritas Entertainment Group and Element Pictures, was originally commissioned by BBC One in the UK for RTÉ, with support from Northern Ireland Screen.

Stay tuned for updates.
